There used to be days when I cared about my hair and what I was wearing. Life is funny like that. No matter what's happening, if it's in your own country, people are still wrapped up in themselves, Consumed by the internet. They only really snap out of it when it's standing right in front of you, with its matted fur and flared nostrils.

My dad never let me watch Planet of Apes. He always said it was too violent. But now I don't have to watch it Because I'm living it.

Sometimes when I listen to the radio, I hear the remaining shattered governments or rebels saying that we're innocent, like we had nothing to do with it. It's funny how people still believe it.

It's 2082. Yep, we lasted that long, but sometimes I wish we didn't or if we will. Deforestation reached its limit 2 decades ago, with trees now just a legend. We've lost 82% of wildlife, the rest forced to live among humans.

Using a combination of chemicals and elements, scientists created the first air substitute, that we pump into the atmosphere.

I guess living with humans means you learn from them. Watch them, find their weaknesses, their strengths.

The Apes consist of mainly chimpanzees, bonobos and gorillas. The loan survivors in their diverse species. The more trees that were cut down the closer the apes were pushed towards civilisation. Living on the outskirts of our boundless grey cities that stretched into vast flat plains of grass, shrubs, and plants. The occasional ape became curious, venturing into the grey mass of buildings. But they were dangerous, aggressive and scared. Governments built a wall around our cities, blocking the green world beyond. It was fine. Until people started reporting sightings. Big shapes on top of buildings, down allies, some even wearing coats and hats to blend in, hidden in plain sight. All just watching, learning, and waiting. Before we knew it, the wall was down. Not just in our country, but in every country. All around the world, apes pushed back. They'd had years of learning, adapting, and evolving.

So now I'm in an underground bunker covered in moss and vines and foliage, hiding and surviving. Recording this message for anyone who might find thi- "!"

My story

Its the year 3078. We have been hiding for the last couple of months. Ever since that idiot went to the past and brought back the dinosaurs and mega fauna. The science lab was trying to travel back in time to get pictures of dinosaurs. The lead researcher had gone mad. He said why should we take pictures when we can bring them to our time. The others tried to stop him but he had already jumped through the portal. For a couple of weeks had passed since he had left. No one was worried. I guess he decided to bring back mega fauna as well. Anyway now every ones scared. There is nowhere safe. My dad and a couple of others went to find food 3 days ago. They haven't returned yet. The underground camp has 54 people in it. Every one is skinny and weak. The youngest person would be Beth. She's 5. The oldest person is Joseph. He’s just turned 74. Wait- some ones coming. I can hear foot steps. Its my dad! Oh no. He is covered in blood. Mum is rushing over. Dads just fallen over. He has a huge bite mark in his side. The others aren't there. Something must of happened. Wait there is more foot steps. They are heavier, much heavier. People are running and hiding. I can hear my mum's voice. she's telling people to run. I follow taking the passage up to the surface. I hear a roar. I don't look back. I run and keep on running. I have found my way to the science lab. Wait- what if I- no I shouldn't-I should- I will. I’m running towards the time lab. They haven’t got rid of it. I can still fix this. I'm turning the machine on. The portal still works! I set it to 3 months ago. Goodbye everyone, I will stop this from happening no matter how many times it takes. Goodbye diary, I will miss you…………………………….
